Good morning, so much water has passed under the bridge since I last blogged, where to start??
Our exhibition in Halifax went very well and from there I travelled to South America to Peru and Ecuador for two months. It was a bucket list trip that was finally achieved and exceeded my expectations. I have now been asked to exhibit in Cuenca, Ecuador in February of 2018. I imagine it is hard for those who do not paint to plan this far ahead but as an artist I must have the time to create the paintings. I have now started the series I will present in Cuena and I am excited to see where the rest of the series will take me. The exhibition will take place at Miquel Illescas Gallery in Cuenca, a beautiful space. I am also involved with a group of local Victoria artists and we are having an exhibition for the month of September in downtown Victoria at the Victoria Arts Council space on Fort Street. We are Group 216, four very diverse artists who work in the same building on Bridge Street. I am being inspired by spring at the moment and also exploring painting on paper, which I don't usually do but I am working through new ideas. The muse has been with me and guiding me with colour, shape and texture. Currently I have a feature at Serious Coffee in Cook Street Village for the month of April and during the month of May I have a feature at Second Crack Coffee on Bridge Street. Please come and have a look at some new paintings and enjoy coffee/tea or some wonderful treats. I look forward to all comments and please contact me with any interest in my new work. Happy Easter and Spring to all.

People prefer to read a real story, than a fantasy reality which makes them feel bad about themselves. Putting up a facade is not only leaving you stuck with your feelings, but it also doesn’t liberate your audience.
