I am now in the planning stages of two new exhibitions....details to be revealed later.  Part of the fun of being an artist is deciding where to present your work and then painting the best pieces possible.

I am having a feature called "Eclectic Expressions" at the Coffee Lab on Bridge Street for the month of May.  I will continue to advertise this exhibition.  Please come by and view and taste their delicious coffee.

I have now been at the Coast Hotel for two weeks and it has been
a wonderful experience so far.  I've enjoyed interacting with guests and locals and some friends have dropped by for visits which is
always welcomed.

My work is hanging in the front lobby and throughout the Blue Crab Restaurant.  I probably have about 35 pieces, large and small.
I love getting out of the studio and in front of people and I love sharing my process.  People are always interested in colour and texture which are two of my favourite things.  It makes me realize how lucky I am to have something that I love doing.

I will be at the hotel for another two weeks and hope to connect
with you there.  Happy Spring, this weekend was such a blessing
in Victoria.  It is the middle of May and wildflowers and bulbs
are out in Beaconhill Park and some trees are blooming and others are about to burst forward.  The ducks were happily splashing away and the goats leaping, such an exciting time when things come alive.  Enjoy this wonderful time of year.

Hello fellow art lovers and collectors.  I will be hanging my work at the Coast Hotel on February 28, 2019 in the afternoon.  The following Wednesday, March 6, 2019 I will begin painting on site.  I will be in the hotel Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 - 4:00 and sometimes later.  Please come down and visit me and my work.  The food at the Blue Crab is worth the visit.  See you in March!!!

Good Morning 

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is doing a series of talks in the Massey Gallery and having an
art exhibition that I am taking part in.  I will be speaking about how I fell in love with art on 
February 9, 2019.  It would be lovely to see some familiar faces.

I feel like I have been on fast forward for a few months and now it is time to slow it down a bit.
I had work accepted into the Winter Show and Sale at Art Rental and Sales in Victoria
and I will be part of the Arts and Industry Tour at Rock Bay Square the weekend of
November 24 and 25th.  Unfortunately I do not think I will be there but my work will be 
and my fellow artist friends will answer any questions etc.

I am about to start writing a proposal for a residency out of province and we will see
where that goes.  It will take some quiet time and introspection to decide what that looks
like....to be continued.

The glorious light of fall is filling my days with joy and inspiration and I will continue
to pursue my work but with less fanfare.  Please come to the studio if you would

Back again to share part of the painting life.  September is proving to be exciting and very busy for
me.  I am currently doing a residency at the Parkside Hotel on Humboldt Street for the month
and I am there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.  This afternoon I am hanging several pieces
at OneYoga on Menzies Street and my paintings will be there for 2 months.  

September 21 is the opening of ALLSorts, an exhibition with myself Rose Cowles Martin and
Lynda Lombardi.  The show will run for 3 weeks, finishing on October 12, 2018.  

I am currently painting pieces for the Christmas exhibition at Art Rental and hopefully
they will accept them and love them.  

I am also working on a few larger pieces.  The pieces I have for ALLSorts are all "hot off
the press" so to speak and I am excited about the new colours and direction of many of them.
Okay I'd best get to the Yoga studio and start hanging.....enjoy each precious day with the
glorious light of fall.

Hello everyone.  Some changes in how I promote my paintings.  I am now on Instagram and having
fun hearing from people from all over the world, love it.  I am painting for an artist residency in
September in Victoria at Parkside Hotel.  I will be there 3 days a week, Tuesday-Thursday from
10:00-4:00 and my paintings will be up in the breakfast room for the month.

I continue to send a few pieces to Teichert Gallery in Nova Scotia for their summer crowd
and of course I have some lovely paintings in Victoria at the Art Rental and Sales Pop Up
Gallery on Fort Street.  I also have pieces at Nourish Restaurant in James Bay upstairs
in the coffee shop if you are in the area.  Karen from Art Rental is wonderful about getting
my work out into the community.

I have many new smaller pieces, 8 x 8's and a few 10 by 10's in the studio at Rock Bay Square.

I finished three new paintings this week and I am working on a diptych and a few smaller pieces.
This week I am back to larger canvasses and the excitement increases.  What will present itself
and where will it lead me....the adventure continues.

I am now back in my studio at Rock Bay Square and happily painting for my next exhibition
in September at Victoria Arts Council with 3 other artists.  It will be exciting to discover
how time in a different culture has effected my paintings; time will tell. 

I also have paintings at the Art Rental and Sales, Pop Up Gallery on Fort Street.  They
had their grand opening on Thursday evening and it was full of people interested in the
beauty of art.  The address is 833 Fort Street, if you have a chance please stop by.

I have agreed to do a residency at Parkside Hotel on Humbolt Street at the corner
of Blanchard.  It is a gorgeous hotel with a lovely atrium where I will be situated.
This residency is for the month of September and I will be there for 3 days a week.

I will have a busy few months but then again I have so much fun it doesn't even feel
