Just a quick reminder that Nurture and Nature...Susan Geddes and Flora Doehler is still on at ARCAC in Annapolis Royal in the Chapel Gallery. We have several paintings on display until November 23. Please stop by and drop us and note and have a look. Yesterday I was thinking about painting the process that I love so much.
I was in my studio on Thursday and I completely removed all of the paintings from the walls and filled all of the holes and rehung the space to be more "gallery like". We are having an Open House on November 21 and 22 at Rock Bay Square in Victoria and I want to put my best face forward. Normally my studio is a working studio and it is messy and filled with canvasses in process. I will tidy it up for the upcoming event and while I was doing that I got some ideas for some new paintings plus I decided to release a couple of older pieces. It is important to know when to let a piece go and to not be to attached to what has been created. This week I will continue the creative journey and see where the muse takes me. Happy painting to all those artists out there.

Jeanne and I are hoping to paint on Monday or maybe just play with colour and texture in some way. Getting really excited about travelling to
Annapolis for Nurture and Nature - opening October 26 1-4 at Chapel Gallery. Ciao for now. Hello, tomorrow I am Nova Scotia bound in time to get do some visiting and to get ready for my exhibition with Flora Doehler. I hope you will be able to join us at The Chapel Gallery in Annapolis Royal on Sunday, October 26, 1-4 p.m. I am thrilled to be coming back to the Maritimes to spend some time with friends and family.
Good morning.....today is the big day to ship my paintings to Nova Scotia
for my exhibition with Flora Doehler called Nurture and Nature. We are ready and the parcel will be in the air in a few hours floating across the provinces to land in Halifax....yeah!!! The rest of my precious pieces will come with me on the plane in a couple of weeks. It feels almost anti-climatic now that the work is done. It was a lot of fun and now a new project is evolving....a never ending cyle of creativity. Today is the last day of 2013 and a new canvass awaits in life and in painting, always such an inspiring and exciting
time of year. One looks at all the possibilities that a new slate provides and it encourages us to broaden and spread our virtual wings. It is my intention to have a deeper connection with people who appreciate my work by blogging and staying in touch in new and varied ways. Keep watching my website as it will change often and I will add new information about my ongoing processes. |
